Message from the Mayor of the City of Gold Coast, Tom Tate
Just like Casey Barnes sang in his hit single City Girls, it’s time to “pack a bag and head to the city”.
In this case, that city is the Gold Coast – proud host of this award-winning country music festival for the past decade.
In 2023, Casey will be there sharing the stage with legends like Lee Kernaghan as well as some of the best new country talent coming out of the US.
Bringing the best country music to the coast ensures a magic blend of lights, sounds and celebrations, with an incredible lineup of talent on offer.
It’s a little ironic that when we set out on this journey 10 years ago, we made a bold statement: Groundwater CMF will become one of the best country music festivals in Australia.
Today, we can boast that title as we deliver the very best talent across a series of stages throughout the Broadbeach precinct.
I applaud Major Events Gold Coast and everyone who has brought Groundwater CMF back for 2023.
Make room for tens of thousands of country music fans dusting off their Akubras and hitting Broadbeach to dance the day – and nights – away.
The best news is it’s free so see you there as we come together to celebrate everything that’s great about the Goldie.
Message from the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Innovation and Minister Assisting the Premier on Olympics and Paralympics Sport and Engagement
The Hon. Stirling Hinchliffe MP
Welcome to the Groundwater Country Music Festival, a highlight on the It’s Live in Queensland events calendar and a wonderful opportunity to showcase the Gold Coast as a tourism destination.
The Gold Coast community is grateful to welcome visitors who fill their cafes and restaurants, stay in their accommodation, use local transport and explore our unique tourism experiences.
That’s why we support events through Tourism and Events Queensland’s Major Events Program because they bring a welcomed boost to the local community and supports local jobs.
Events like the Groundwater Country Music Festival allows friends and family to reconnect and creates community pride. We hope you enjoy your stay and return again in the near future.
Be sure to immerse yourself in the local culture and get the opportunity to explore some of our world-class tourism experiences in this beautiful region.
Congratulations to the event organisers and volunteers – we wish you all the best for a successful event.
