Kasey Chambers + more are coming to Groundwater CMF 2024!

8 August 2024

Aussie icons from around the country are gathering in Broadbeach this October for Groundwater Country Music Festival (CMF), and you’re invited to the party!

Taking place on the Gold Coast this 18-20 October, the only thing you need to bring is your Akubra, cowboy boots and your mates because no tickets are required.

If you’re down for a free, three day country festival right by the beach, then mark the dates now in your calendar for this October and take a look below at some of the artists joining us this year!

KASEY CHAMBERS

Undoubtedly one of Australia’s finest country artists, Kasey Chambers is making her long-awaited return to Broadbeach since her last performance at Groundwater CMF in 2017.

“I’m looking forward to playing Groundwater CMF again, it’s been a while and last time we had a blast! I’ll probably throw in a few new songs into my set but it will mostly be made up with old songs of mine.

I still love playing songs The Captain and Barricades and Brickwalls albums. So many of those old songs are such a big part of me, I honestly can’t imagine playing a gig without them.”

With 12 award winning albums under her belt, it’s no wonder why she’s dubbed the Queen of Country and the youngest female artist to be inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame.

In what’s sure to be an unmissable show for all country fans, Kasey will be performing all her classics as well as brand-new tracks with the upcoming release of her album ‘Backbone’ and book ‘Just Don’t Be A D*ckhead’.

Both set for release in early October, Groundwater CMF will be one of the first chances to hear Kasey’s brand new tracks live! Check out her first single from the album now.

Emily Grace Taylor

You’ll want to remember her name at this year’s festival. A Gold Coast local, Emily Grace Taylor is a country-folk artist who mixes a decade of creating luscious, guitar-driven indie-pop with a lifelong love of country, Americana and folk music.

“Listening to country music feels like coming home, and making it means getting to share my stories with an open heart in hopes others resonate with them and feel a little less alone.”

Emily’s songs are an ode to the way of country life and experiences, delivering honest storytelling and dreamy soundscapes. Be sure to add her to your must-see list when the festival program drops in the coming months!

Josh Setterfield

Having captivated audiences worldwide, Josh Setterfield is certainly making waves in the country music scene.

With over seven million streams and his latest EP debuting at #2 on the ARIA Charts, sold out shows and festival appearances around the country is just the beginning for this country star.

“The old saying ‘3 chords and the truth’ is still relevant, even though there may be a couple extra chords thrown in there now days haha.
Country is blended with a lot of genres lately, but no matter what genre it combines with and what experimental path it might take… It will always have that same heart.”

Kicking off from Friday 18 October, we’ve jam-packed this year’s lineup with plenty more incredible artists too! From festival favourites like Max Jackson and Jayne Denham to Aussie icon Shannon Noll, plus a heap of international country royalty, this is three days of country music you won’t want to miss.

And that’s just the beginning too, we’ve got our second lineup in the works and we can’t wait to share with you very soon! So if you haven’t already, book your festival accommodation now to get the most of your coastal country visit.
