Groundwater Country Music Festival 2023 is a special year for us. Because not only are we celebrating 10 years of country music on the Gold Coast, but we’ve also got a special treat for country fans!
Taking place Saturday morning from 11:45AM – 12:45PM at The Kurrawa Big Top, we’re thrilled to have a KIX Live at Groundwater Songwriters session. In collaboration with our good mates and Community Partner KIX Country, this special session will take a deeper dive into the art that is country music songwriting.
Featuring country favourites like Jackson Dean, Adam Harvey, Amber Lawrence, Sara Berki and the 2023 Groundwater KIX-Start Winner Denvah, it’s going to be a ball!
Each artist will be taking turns performing and giving us an insight behind their creative processes. Hosted by KIX Country Director Justin Thompson, the session is definitely a must-see for the Saturday!

Jackson Dean

Festival favourite Amber Lawrence is so loved by country fans for a reason. As the highest selling female country artist of 2022, her famous wit and charm is one that comes through whether she’s performing or not!
Sara Berki
Hailing from the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, Sara is a true storyteller with captivating vocals and a gift for connecting with her audience. Her heartfelt style of classic country through a modern lens paves the way for the future of country music.
Denvah
Winner of the 2023 Groundwater KIX-Start competition, Denvah is a multi-talented singer-songwriter that has been making splashes in the country music scene. Don’t miss your chance to get to know this up and coming talent!
