Say hello to the 2024 Groundwater KIX-Start Winners – Freight Train Foxes!
This Brisbane-based indie folk duo is about to join the incredible lineup at Groundwater Country Music Festival (CMF), happening in just a couple of weeks on the Gold Coast.
Freight Train Foxes, made up of talented songwriters Pat Kenny and Kelsey Berrington, are known for their acoustic folk sound that hits you right in the feels. After releasing five EPs and racking up over 2 million streams on Spotify, this pair is definitely one to watch.
Plus, they’ve already made waves in Nashville and were finalists at the 2023 Queensland Music Awards for their track “Fly to You.”
As winners of the Groundwater KIX-Start competition, the duo will take home a killer prize package including a recording session with Jared Adlam at Machine Lab, a songwriting session with Jordan Dozzi, a six-month marketing package with The Music, and a PR package from Varrasso PR, plus more!
