Groundwater CMF 2025 will be held from Friday 17 October – Sunday 19 October!
Groundwater CMF is located throughout the streets, parks and venues in Broadbeach on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. If you’re looking to stay within walking distance to the festival, we recommend staying anywhere from Queensland Avenue to Elizabeth Avenue in Broadbeach.
No way – our festival is FREE for everyone to enjoy! But if you’re looking to score a front row spot for one of our headline acts, we do have a ‘first in, best dressed’ policy.
Just come right in! As we are a non-ticketed event within the open area in the Broadbeach precinct, you can come and go as you please.
There are plenty of great accommodation options available on the Gold Coast. You can see what’s close to Groundwater CMF here. We always suggest getting in early to secure your festival pad.
Sorry! Sadly, there are no campgrounds located within the festival as Groundwater CMF is located in the heart of an open, CBD area. But don’t worry! There are plenty of accommodation options available that you can check out here. If you are looking for Gold Coast Camping Grounds you can view a range of options here.
The 2025 artist lineup will be announced in the coming months! Our 2024 artist lineup included country favourites like Kasey Chambers, Adam Brand, Tim Hicks, Shannon Noll, Felicity Urquhart & Josh Cunningham, Jim Lauderdale, Gord Bamford plus many more.
You can check out the 2024 lineup here and stay tuned for 2025!
Yes! The festival program and app will be released closer to the festival.
There will be dedicated areas at the outdoor stages where you’re welcome to set up your own chairs. For all our partner venues, there will be seating available in-venue.
Groundwater CMF will not be selling or hiring any chairs to patrons, however local retailers may have some in stock for those interested.
Please note camp chairs may only be used in designated areas during certain times of the day.
Sorry! Unfortunately not. As Groundwater CMF is an unlicensed event, alcohol can only be consumed within licensed areas and venues.
Sure! But only in licensed areas and venues throughout the precinct. Remember that alcohol cannot be taken out of these areas.
Standard Smoking laws apply, 4 metres away from all buildings including restaurants etc. There is no smoking permitted in pedestrian malls including the Broadbeach Mall.
There are several temporary toilet facilities throughout the festival, as well as public bathrooms in The Oasis Shopping Centre as well as in venues.
Of course! We will have Security based at each of the stages and roving throughout the festival footprint, supported by a Queensland Police Service team.
Festival merchandise will be able to be purchased at the Festival Information & Merchandise hub.
There will also be an Artist Merchandise Marquee at the festival. Locations for both merchandise hubs will be detailed on the festival map, released closer to the event.
Visit our Getting Here page to find information on transport, travel and parking.
As the festival is held within a public area, local laws apply for bringing your pet to Groundwater CMF. However, due to large crowds and loud music, we recommend that attendees leave their pets at home.
In the unfortunate event that we do receive rain during the festival our team have measures in place to ensure a safe environment and manage any programming changes. If we are required to implement any wet weather plans during the festival we will provide an update to all attendees via our website and social media channels.
There sure is! Groundwater CMF is situated in the heart of the Broadbeach CBD with plenty of restaurants, cafes, bars, fast food and supermarkets to suit everyone’s taste buds.
Groundwater CMF accepts a small number of food vendors each year. Stay tuned for applications opening in the coming months.
Groundwater CMF 2025 will have the Country Markets during the festival. Vendor applications will open in the coming months.
