Groundwater Country Music Festival will be back  12-14 November 2021.

As the Groundwater continues to grow we’re looking to secure more international headliners. The move to November will provide greater access to International artists as the festival occurs outside the normal American touring season. 

So dust off your daisy dukes, make the most of the longer days and warmer weather and enjoy the Gold Coast’s iconic sun, sand and surf. We’re bringing Country music back to Australia’s favourite playground. 

Groundwater Country Music Festival is located throughout the streets, parks and venues of Broadbeach on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.

As the festival does not take place until November 2021, restrictions are likely to change between now and then. The health and safety of our attendees, volunteers and team is our top priority and we will continue to monitor COVID-19 regulations to ensure our event complies at all times. Rest assured, we are working hard to bring Groundwater Country Music festival back and deliver a COVID Safe version in 2021.

Entry

No way – our festival is FREE for everyone to enjoy! But if you’re looking to score a front row spot for one of our headline acts, we do have a ‘first in, best dressed’ policy.

Just come right in! As we are a non-ticketed event within the open area in the Broadbeach precinct, you can come and go as you please.

Accommodation

Ultimately the choice is yours. However, if you are looking at accommodation options, we do recommend securing your preferred accommodation experience sooner rather than later. We also recommend enquiring about the refund/cancellation policy prior to making a booking – policies are becoming more flexible in these uncertain and ever-changing times.

There are so many great accommodation options available in Broadbeach and across the Gold Coast. Surfers Paradise is just a short 5minute tram ride away. 

There are plenty of great accommodation options available on the Gold Coast. You can see what’s close to Groundwater Country Music Festival here. We always suggest getting in early to secure your spot. Under the current circumstances, most accommodation houses have adjusted their cancellation policy to be more flexible with bookings, we suggest checking individual policies with the hotel prior to booking.

Sorry! Sadly, there are no campgrounds located within the festival as the event is located in the heart of an open, CBD area. But don’t worry! Artist Info

Hang tight, we’ve announced the first part of our 2021 lineup, but there is still plenty more to come. You can stay up to date with all the latest Groundwater news by following the Official Facebook page

To get your Groundwater Country Music Festival merchandise signed, head to the ‘Onsite Retail’ tent – the one that sells the artist CD’s. Note, Artist signings are normally held after the shows. Stay tuned on our website or social media channels for more information to be released closer to the festival.

At the festival

There will be a limited amount of seating provided on a first come, first served basis plus many of the indoor venues also have seating on offer.

Groundwater Country Music Festival will not be selling or hiring any chairs to patrons however local retailers, may have some in stock for those interested. Please note camp chairs may only be used in designated areas.

Sorry! Unfortunately not. As the Groundwater Country Music Festival is an unlicensed event, alcohol can only be consumed within licensed venues.

Sure! But only in licensed venues. Remember that alcohol cannot be taken out of the licensed venues.

Standard Smoking laws apply, 4 metres away from all buildings including restaurants etc. There is no smoking permitted in pedestrian malls including the Broadbeach Mall.

There are several public toilets located throughout the festival including in The Oasis Shopping Centre and Niecon Plaza as well as in venues.

Of course! We will have Security based at each of the stages and roving throughout the festival footprint, supported by a Queensland Police Service team.
In the unfortunate event that we do receive rain during the festival our team have measures in place to ensure a safe environment and manage any programming changes. If we are required to implement any wet weather plans during the festival we will provide an update to all attendees via our website and social media channels

Groundwater Country Music Festival will have a Merchandise Hub at the event. Be sure to keep an eye out for it while you’re at the festival. Stay tuned for further information to be released closer to the festival.

As the festival is held within a public area, local laws apply for bringing your pet to Groundwater Country Music Festival. However, due to large crowds and loud music, we recommend that attendees leave their pets at home.

We’re currently in the process of building the Entertainment Program for the 2021 festival. Keep an eye out on our website, newsletter or social channels for further information and announcements to be released closer to the festival.

Food & Markets

There sure is! The Groundwater Country Music Festival is situated in the heart of the Broadbeach CBD with plenty of restaurants, cafes, bars, fast food and supermarkets to suit everyone’s taste buds.

Thanks for wanting to get involved! Groundwater Country Music Festival operates in a precinct with a multitude of restaurants, cafes and bars, catering to a variety of needs and cuisines. As a result, spaces for additional food vendors are limited. Keep an eye out here on our website, Newsletter and social media channels for any announcements surrounding Food Vendor Applications for the 2021 festival.

We work closely with Art & Craft on the Coast Markets to provide market stalls to the festival. If you would like additional information or would like to provide an expression of interest please contact them via their website here.

Accessibility

Yes! There are will be a range of accessible viewing areas throughout the festival that will be indicated by signage on outdoor stages. More information will be provided in the coming months. Please contact venues directly for information on their accessible viewing areas.

We are a family-friendly music event for all ages but please be mindful that some venues may have age restrictions due to licensing.

Yes! Groundwater Country Music Festival is a family-friendly music event for all ages but there is also the art & craft markets.

cOVID-19

We plan on delivering Groundwater CMF as you know and love it in 2021. We are working with Queensland Health to ensure that our festival adheres to all measures outlined in our Queensland Health COVID Safe plan. If restrictions change resulting in any modifications to the programming and format of the event, an announcement will be made via social media and our website.

If restrictions change any modifications to the programming and format of the event, an announcement will be made via social media and our website.

Unfortunately, any border restrictions that are in place at the time of the event will be out of our control. We will keep you informed on any modifications required to the programming and format of the event.

We highly recommend enquiring about the refund/cancellation policy prior to making any bookings for this event, as any bookings made are at the discretion of the individual.

At this point in time Vaccine Passports are not required by the Government in order to hold an event, so we will not be asking our Groundwater attendees to present one on arrival. We will continue to be led by the advice of the Queensland Government, should there be any changes to the festival that impact our fans we will provide an update on our social media channels and website.

The health and safety of our attendees, volunteers and team is our top priority. We will not be asking individuals to provide their vaccinated/unvaccinated status to our team upon arrival. However, attendees will be encouraged to check-in using the Queensland Government mobile app, ‘Check-in QLD’ this ensures we’re providing a COVID safe environment for not only our attendees but the wider community.

Groundwater CMF will be guided by the Queensland Government’s COVID-19 regulations. Unfortunately, any border restrictions that are in place at the time of the event will be beyond our control. We will keep you informed on any modifications required to the programming and format of the event via our social media channels and website.

Our team are closely monitoring all border restrictions and will be led by the advice of Queensland Health. We are forging ahead with strategic planning, looking at every different avenue and working on a range of scenarios with the vision of rolling out the highly anticipated Groundwater CMF 2021.
