Queensland’s much-loved Groundwater Country Music Festival was awarded the top gong in the ‘Festivals and Events’ category at the 2019 Australian Tourism Awards last night, in front of an audience of highly-respected industry leaders and peers.
With her incredible storytelling and intriguing blend of folk, country, blues, and rock it was a no-brainer to have her back on the bill in 2020.
Last year Spotify reported Australia as the third-largest country music territory after the US & Canada and the world’s fastest-growing country market, and Groundwater is testament to this. As one of Australia’s most loved country music festivals, it just keeps getting bigger! Boom!
The mighty Groundwater Country Music Festival broke records on the weekend, with more than 70,000 attendees soaking up the winter warm sunshine on the Gold Coast while enjoying some memorable shows from their favourite acts including the Davisson Brothers Band (USA), Adam Eckersley Band, The Wolfe Brothers, and Fanny Lumsden.
Australia’s fastest-growing country music festival, Groundwater Country Music Festival, has revealed the full lineup for 2019 which includes the reigning King and Queen of Australian Country Music Lee Kernaghan and Beccy Cole, as well as the US country-rockers Davisson Brothers Band, and record breakers The Wolfe Brothers who were the most awarded act at the 2019 Golden Guitars.
