Set times

Groundwater CMF welcomes Kerry Kennedy, a world-class entertainer, a proud Australian, and an Australian to be proud of.

Kerry hails from Dalby, in country Queensland, and his rich vocals and polished presentation of original and popular country music has been selling out shows since 1989.

The key to his popularity and success has been relentless hard work, performing at every available venue in Queensland, big and small, from the tip of Cape York in the north, to Sydney in the south, and Thargomindah in the west – not to mention a swag of venues in the other states.

A regular at the world famous Tamworth Country Music Festival, Kerry has also performed at the Gympie Muster, Mud Bulls and Music and the Mountview Music Muster to name a few. And he helped put together the first Thredbo Music Fling (which later became CMC Rocks The Snowies).

In 1997 he released his first album “Australia’s Most Wanted ” and in the same year he was a finalist in the TIARA awards in Tamworth.

Several tours of New Zealand and Vanuatu followed, setting the agenda for a regular round of international dates to complement the Australian schedule.

2004 saw the release of his second album “Glass Of Wine ” which went to Number 1 in the European country music charts for Most Requested Song. That year he toured Europe, headlining the Uster Country Music Festival in Switzerland – a tour he would repeat in 2008 and 2011. Kerry has released 7 CDs nationally and internationally, of which 4 of his own composition have Been placed in Europe’s top 40.

Every October since then Kerry with his band has toured New Caledonia, headlining the Fête du Boeuf (Beef Festival and Rodeo) in Païta.

The Kerry Kennedy show is a polished and entertaining experience – the result of endless performances, and innovative, inspirational songwriting.
