Since their formation in 2016, Montgomery Church have been quietly but quickly gathering a fan base who site their undeniable musical and personal chemistry as a rare and beautiful thing to see live.
Cielle and James have toured extensively throughout Australia over the past 2 years, playing numerous sold out shows and festivals including Dorrigo Folk & Bluegrass Festival, National Folk Festival, Inland Sea of Sound Festival, St Alban’s Folk Festival, Maleny Music Festival, Hill End Arts Festival, Escape ArtFEST, Tamworth Country Music Festival, as well as appearing at Woodford Folk Festival.
In 2016, Cielle was announced as a finalist in the Australian Independent Country Music Awards for Female Vocalist of the Year and has just recently been selected for the “Women in String Bands CD Project” through the Australian Bluegrass and Old Time Music Association.
