Tenaciously bursting onto the music scene as a child, Melody blossomed when she decided to write for herself, won a stack of song writing awards and was a finalist in the Telstra Road To Discovery and Toyota Star Maker. Taking off on a pilgrimage to the US, Melody honed her craft singing in Nashville, Austin and various venues across the US. Following on with a second trip to perform at “The Americana Festival” in Nashville. She has toured as support for Tim Rogers, The McClymonts and for two consecutive years as a guest with Fanny Lumsden. Melody writes without pretence and “The Wreckage” sets out to prove that alternative country music isn’t always dark and twisted tales of heartbreak and revenge, and letting your toes break free of your tightly laced boots and tap is okay. Produced by Michael Muchow, a highly regarded producer and Catherine Britt, The Wreckage has made a huge impact since its release with two singles charting on CMC,debuting number 4 on iTunes and 35 on the ARIA charts, and a tour across NZ and Australia showcasing at Australian Music Week and On the road with Fanny Lumsden for the remainder of 2017 and Catherine Britt in 2018, Melody Moko is set to continue her trajectory.
