Graeme Connors is one of Australia’s most eclectic singer/songwriters. He’s best known for hits, ‘A Little Further North’ and ‘Let The Canefields Burn’. Throughout his more than 40-year career he’s released 19 albums and received numerous awards for his contribution to Australian Country Music. Connors new album ‘from the backcountry’ was released in August and combines his signature modern country sound with elements of rock, blues and roots. The new album debuted at #4 on the ARIA Country Albums chart and #6 on the ARIA Australian Artists Albums (all genres) chart. After months on the road touring regional Australia, Connors will dust off his boots and bring ‘the backcountry’ to the Gold Coast when he makes his debut performance at the Groundwater Country Music Festival (July 26-28). “What better way to spend a weekend? Sun, sand and the best Australian Country Music has to offer! I’m really looking forward to performing at Groundwater for the very first time,” he said.
